Fable 2 brings you to the world of Albion where you assume the role of any hero that you want to be. Do you want to be the righteous savior of the world or do you want to be the most sinister witch Albion has ever seen? You can be anyone you want to be and you have the entire world for you to venture in.
In beginning your adventure in Albion, players are first given the choice to start out as male or female. The player then starts the hero’s adventure as a child who is already presented with moral choices to take, the decisions the hero will take will then have an effect on the world the hero will be in once he becomes an adult.
Sure, the game is clichéd. Hero takes on the world, takes on different creatures until he saves the world from a tyrant. But what separates Fable 2 from the rest is the way it gives the player complete command of how the hero partakes on the adventure. The hero can be the richest landlord of Albion or he can be the poorest soul in Bowerstone. The choices the player makes will have an adverse effect on how the world sees the hero. The hero can even morph into something pure and good or something corrupt and evil, depending on what choices the player will make throughout the game.
If you’re looking for the best RPG ever created to date, Fable 2 is the game.
