Call of Duty: Modern Warfare 2 is arguably one of the most anticipated games of the year, thankfully, it lives up to all the hype. This game is the best first-person shooting game ever to hit this generation of consoles and I don’t see any shooter on the market today that can challenge Infinity Ward’s newest cash cow.
The game picks up where Call of Duty 4: Modern Warfare left off. Vladimir Makarov is the new bad guy as he wages war on the proud U.S. of A looking to avenge the demise of his late commander, Zakhaev, who has been proclaimed as a war hero in Russia after you shot him in the head back in the first game.
The game will also mark the return of ”Soap” Mactavish, only this time, you won’t be playing as him but new recruit Gary ”Roach” Sanderson. Don’t fret though, you will have the opportunity of assuming the role of ”Soap” once again, how it turns out from there will depend on you.
Of course, Soap’s commanding officer, Captain Price, will also make a return. How much of a role will he play on Call of Duty: Modern Warfare 2? You have to play through the game to find out.
While the single player campaign is as engaging as ever, the multiplayer features of Call of Duty: Modern Warfare 2 is as awesome. Players can engage online through matches like Team Deathmatch, where players team-up into two teams as they try to score as many kills as possible for their respective factions. There’s also Free-for-all matches where players just blast anything that moves.
Call of Duty: Modern Warfare 2 is easily a prime candidate for Game of the Year. Experience modern warfare at its best today.
