Aliens vs Predator

It’s time once and for all to determine which is the true dominant specie in the universe.

Will you side with the Aliens or will you side with the Predators? Or will you choose neither and just go with the Marines and blast any extraterrestrial you see to smithereens? Whichever way you go, you should have a blast with Sega and Rebellion’s first person action game because playing as each of the three species featured in Aliens vs Predator is an experience every gamer should not pass on.

Divinity II: Ego Draconis

This latest role playing game from Larian Studios is ambitious.

Unfortunately, it falls short to the expectations set by games like Fable 2 and Dragon Age: Origins.

And people who have already played this sequel to 2002’s Divine Divinity know that Larian Studios tried oh so hard to emulate the latter.

Sure, Divinity II: Ego Draconis can really draw you in the first time you pop it in but after an hour or so, you’ll soon notice how repetitive and not to mention, glitchy, it gets.

Perhaps the most interesting aspect of Divinity II: Ego Draconis is the fact that the game lets you play both as a dragon slayer and as the very dragon you detest. Yes, the player can morph from human to dragon form anytime, opening up some interesting possibilities for you to maul at your enemies.

Unfortunately, that’s the only thing going for it…

Batman: Arkham Asylum

batman_aaFans of the Batman still looking for at least a decent Batman game, your search is over.

That’s right, Eidos Interactive has come up with arguably the best looking Batman videogame to date with Batman: Arkham Asylum. As the title suggests, the game is set at Arkham Asylum where Gotham City’s most dangerous criminals lie.

It was suppose to be a routine turnover of the Joker to the Arkham Asylum prison guards. But thanks to a series of events that involved the help of some of the prison guards within the Asylum, Joker breaks free and has turned the tables on Batman, who now finds himself trapped with the Joker and the criminals he put behind bars.

Operation Flashpoint: Dragon Rising

operation_flashpointThis is war as real as it can get people.

For those of you looking for a good first-person shooter to keep you occupied at least until the next iteration of Call of Duty 4: Modern Warfare gets here should be happy to know that the guys from Codemasters came up with just that.

Their latest first person shooter, Operation Flashpoint: Dragon Rising, is one of the best shooters to hit the market today. Its approach to the genre is so refreshing that it lets you play a tried and tested genre while also having a unique experience you’ll never forget.

You see, instead of running from point A to point B, Operation Flashpoint: Dragon Rising lets you choose the way you complete your objectives. The game has this vast playing field for you to play on as you traverse kilometers of terrain filled with hostile forces looking to take you and your team down.

Be careful though…

Call of Duty 4: Modern Warfare

call_of_duty_4_modern_warfareThis is arguably the best first person shooter ever made.

Call of Duty 4: Modern Warfare has successfully recreated what being in the middle of a modern war is all about. You get to use sophisticated technology that modern soldiers use today and that alone is reason enough to give this game a shot.

The realism in this game is terrifyingly real. The only thing that keeps it from being too real is that it lets you pause the game anytime you want for you to run to mama.

Call of Duty 4: Modern Warfare is the shooter to buy. Forget Halo, forget Bad Company…

Left for Dead

left_4_deadZombies have always haunted gamers for years ever since the Resident Evil series started introducing them to our favorite pastime. Left for Dead lets you take out all the frustrations you may have on these zombies, multiplied to the nth’ degree!

This game has zombies, and it has a lot of ‘em. Luckily, Left for Dead gives you a plethora of weapons you can use to blast your way upon hordes and hordes of the undead all looking to have a taste of your blood.

Afraid of playing alone in the dark? No problem, Left for Dead has three other players, be it controlled by human teammates or the A.I., to give you some much needed help whenever things get a little too close. Hopefully, you’ll…

The Lord of the Rings, The Battle for Middle-Earth II

lordoftherings_middleearthIf you’re a fan of the Lord of the Rings movies, then you just have to get this game. The single-player mode lets you take part in two separate campaigns, each with its own unique story that should keep you playing over and over again.

The first campaign lets you side with the good boys; Aaron, Gandalf and the rest of the gang. Your job is to stop the forces of Sauron from destroying the world as we know it. You’ll have archers at your disposal, elves and of course, Gandalf’s trusty magical spells.

The second campaign lets you bring out your evil side as you side with Sauron’s forces as you unleash hell on everything that moves. Personally, playing with the evil campaign is a lot more fun since you don’t have to worry about anything but unleashing as much carnage as you can. Oh yeah, you get to play as Sauron too, that is if…
